KI O RAHI

 The Legend of Rahi.

Rahi Tutakahina son of Eru was married to Te Arakurapakawai or Te Ara until she was kidnapped so Rahi went out to search for her unaware that Te Ara has been kidnapped but Rahi had an idea to make a kite that could carry a man high into the air so that the person in the air can scan the area.  A couple hours went by and gave up that idea so Rahi went for a walk to think for more genius ideas but Patupaiarehe saw Rahi coming towards his village he cast a spell so that there is 2 suns in the sky so that the suns would burn Rahi but instead it scorched Rahi's greatest creation his giant kite and Rahi fell to the ground close to death but Rahi found a rock which he rested on and that rock had a special Wairua that helped sustain Rahi as he was gaining his strength.(In the game the rock is known as the Tupu and the area around the Tupu is known as the "Wairua").
As Rahi was gaining his strength the Patupaiarehe sent a Reptile to kill Rahi but then a hokia bird( giant eagle) flew in to save Rahi but people say that the Patupaiarehe made the temerture so cold that the eagle had to wrap around Rahi to keep rahi warm when the Ngarara sprinted around the tupu super fast to protect Rahi forming the Pawero Zone. he was so fast that the path that he was running on turned to sand. Rahi's father Eru heard that his son was in great danger so he formed a ice bridge   to safety that is now called the Te Marama. after that Rahi looked at the heavens and asw the 7 stars of Matariki and said cast the 7 Pou as he was realising that his father Eru was trying to help his son Rahi. As Rahi was making his way towards his tribe and suddenly Te Ara caught his eye. After the gathering Rahi was inspired by his father to join the two tribes and make peace.
And that's how Ki O Rahi started
